The person you are to become, is always watching the person you are right now. The image you have of yourself tomorrow, depends on the actions you watch yourself take today. The confidence with which you live next month, will be based on the integrity of your actions this week.
You can hide and conceal things from just about anyone, but the person you are to become is always watching. And that person's opinion of you will play a major role in your life. Will you be proud tomorrow of what you did today? Will your future self find strength in your present actions and attitudes? Will you learn from your mistakes and from your successes? The you of tomorrow is watching, waiting, hoping and depending upon the you of today.
Live each moment like someone is watching. Because someone is watching, someone who can make you or break you. Live so that the person you become in the future can look back with gratitude and admiration at the person you are right now.
Whatever we are going through, we konw it will not last forever. There will be a new season, a fresh change. Meanwhile, we can take comfort in the miniature fresh start we have in each new day.
Struggles and dull times come to an end. Whatever happened to us today, we can look forrward to a new day tomorrow. We must thankful for the days and the seasons; they remind us that nothing lasts forever.
Do you remember those GOOD old Indian school punishments?
Holding the earlobes with arms crossed over your chests, bending the knees and then sit and then stand (sit-ups) and so on till the time our teacher tell us to stop?
Ever you thought why the traditional Indian school teachers would give this particular punishment? I believe even majority of the teachers who grant this punishment to their students do not know the reason behind it.
This form of punishment has been in practice in India since the Gurukul time and was given to the students who were weak in studies. It is very different that today teachers grant this punishment for any mistake and not only for studies. But originally it was meant for weak students only.
The logic behind this punishment is, it’s very interesting to know that this particular posture increases the blood flow to the memory cells in brain and synchronizes the right and left side of the brain to improve function and promote calmness, sharpens intelligence, also helps learning difficulties and behavioral problems.
Probably we have forgotten this ancient method of increasing memory power, but the western countries are now using it regularly and they are recommending this posture or exercise to treat many diseases.
